Exceptional Acquisition of Turkish Citizenship
12 of the Citizenship Law No. 5901 on the acquisition of Turkish Citizenship as an exceptional.it is included in the article. In the article of the law in question, it is regulated that a foreigner can become a Turkish Citizen by the proposal of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the decision of the Council of Ministers, provided that he does not have an obstacle to national security and public order.
Who Can Win?
Those who have served in scientific, technological, cultural, artistic, economic, social fields in Turkey, or those who have an impression that they will pass, or those who have brought industrial facilities and people who have made a reasoned offer about their rights by the relevant ministries;
Persons who are deemed necessary to be naturalized for the benefit of our country or for any reason;
According to the Law on Resettlement, immigrants.
Exceptionally, the Procedures to be Carried Out for the Acquisition of Turkish Citizenship
Exceptionally, the file of the one who wants to obtain Turkish Citizenship exceptionally is prepared after receiving written instructions from the Ministry regarding the application of the foreigner. The following documents are required to be included in the file:
A petition stating an application for Turkish citizenship in an exceptional way;
Notarized Turkish translation of the identity document of the country in which the person is of nationality (Passport or similar document);
Notarized Turkish translation of the birth certificate;
Notarized Turkish translation of a duly certified document indicating marital status;
In the event that he is married, the marriage certificate;
Certificate of divorce if he is divorced;
And the widow is the death certificate of her spouse.
Indicates spouses and children notarized Turkish translation of an authorized population registration sample or a similar approved document valid in its place;
The applicant’s 1st And 2. a sample of the population registration of relatives of the degree (it will be taken by the application authority);
Receipt of the service fee deposited with the Teller of Finance.
For applications for exceptional citizenship, the procedure works as follows.
Written instructions are sent by the Ministry of Internal Affairs to the application authority for foreigners who want to obtain Turkish Citizenship by an exceptional way;
The application authority collects the necessary documents and creates a citizenship file;
By writing to the Police Department, a request is made for a Security Investigation as to whether the applicant is in a state that poses a threat to public safety and public order;
As a result of the positive outcome of these transactions, the application is checked by the authorities and sent to the Council of Ministers for decision-making;
By a positive decision of the Council of Ministers, a person acquires Turkish citizenship.
