Turkish Student Visa
Students who are eligible to study at any higher education institution in Turkey must obtain a “student visa” before coming to Turkey. A student visa is issued by the Foreign Representative Office of the Republic of Turkey of the country in which the foreign student is a citizen or the country in which he resides with a residence permit. A foreign national who will receive a student visa must submit a “University Acceptance Letter” from a university in Turkey to the Turkish Foreign Representative Office. A student visa must be processed in the student’s passport, and people who come to Turkey without a student visa, with a visa exemption or other type of visa, do not register.
Foreign students who come to Turkey on a student visa and enroll in a university are required to apply for a residence permit for study purposes. The duration of the Student visa issued by the Foreign Representative Office of the Republic of Turkey varies depending on the countries. Student visas are issued in the form of 30 or 90 days. A foreign student must obtain a residence permit for educational purposes by applying to the Directorate of Migration Management of the province or district in which they reside before the expiration of this period.

The required documents for student visa applications vary depending on the country of your nationality. In general, the requested documents are as follows.
Student visas are single-entry, and after entering the country on a student visa, a foreigner must apply for a residence permit for educational purposes. If a foreigner leaves Turkey without applying for a residence permit for study purposes, his visa will be canceled. A foreigner whose visa has been canceled will not be able to obtain a residence permit for study purposes, even if he re-enters Turkey as part of a visa exemption. In this case, the foreigner will need to obtain a student visa by returning to his country again. In order not to experience victimization, these issues should be paid attention to.
People Who Do Not Want a Student Visa
A student visa is not required if the foreigner carries one of the following conditions.
Foreign students who have a Blue Card in accordance with Law No. 5203;
Foreign students who are children of parents residing in Turkey with a work permit or residence permit;
Foreign students who have completed their Secondary and Higher Education in Turkey and started dec bachelor’s and (or) master’s degree education without taking a break for more than 1 year;
Teaching programs in Turkey, previously residing foreign students on a student visa and a residence permit for study purposes, with the area before you are eligible for a student visa in the event of a change chapter Dec.
If foreign students have previously enrolled in any university program and subsequently changed departments or universities, a new student visa is not required. However, if these people make changes in the same province, they must submit their new student documents to the Provincial or district Migration Administration Directorate, and if they have made a change in the province, they must apply for a residence permit to the Provincial Migration Administration Directorate where they reside.
