Rules regarding those involved in traffic accidents
Article 81 – Those involved in traffic accidents;
a) If they are on the move, stop immediately in a way that does not create an additional danger to the traffic, and take the necessary measures for traffic safety at the accident scene,
b) If there is death, injury or material damage in the accident, if this accident does not affect traffic, life and property safety, not to change the situation at the accident site, including evidence and traces that will be useful in determining responsibility,
c) Notifying and showing the identity, address, driver and traffic document and the date and number of the insurance policy, if requested by the persons involved in the accident,
d) the accident; notifying the authorized and duty officers, not leaving the accident site until they arrive or without their permission,
e) Drivers who damage vehicles, goods or loads while the driver, owner or related persons are not present, to find the owner or related persons of the vehicle, property or property they damaged, to determine the situation if they cannot find the relevant persons and to leave written information on the damaged thing, to the relevant police. to inform as soon as possible,

In accidents where only material damage occurs, all persons involved in the accident may leave the accident site by determining this in writing among themselves, if they do not find it necessary for the authorized and responsible person to come.

Drivers who leave the scene out of necessity without obtaining the permission of the police, or who do not comply with the provisions of subparagraph (b) of the first paragraph, in traffic accidents with material damage, death or injury, except in the case of an agreement, are punished with a fine of 7 200 000 TL.
Those who do not comply with the other provisions of this article are punished with a fine of 3 600 000 Turkish Liras.
