Deport is the state of a foreign person whose deportation decision has been made, of which he is a national, or sent to a third country and prohibited from entering Turkey for a certain period of time. The ban on entry to Turkey is imposed for a maximum of 5 years, but if the foreigner in question threatens public safety and health, the entry ban can be extended for another 5 years.
The foreigner or his/her legal representative or his/her representative, about whom a deportation decision has been taken, shall be notified of the deportation decision together with the legal grounds.
A foreign national can find out whether there is a ban on entry to Turkey at the border gate or by applying to the foreign representative of the Republic of Turkey in his country.
